Free wildlife identification course

The Mersey Foret and the Friends of Griffin Wood are offering you a free afternoon’s course to learn about wildlife on our beautiful site and to help you gain skills in species identification.

This course is being run by Merseyside BioBank the Local Records Centre for North Merseyside. They collect and collate biological and environmental information and make it available to people interested in knowing more about their local environment. They also promote the North Merseyside Biodiversity Action Plan and wider participation in conservation through education, community involvement and by supporting the biological recording community of North Merseyside.

We invite you to come and join the team on site and help us spot, record and develop your skills in wildlife identification.  The course is being held on site (bottom of Hall Lane, Bold, WA94 SN) from 3-6pm on Monday 26th July.  Please call Helen Collins on 01925 816217 for further details and to book your place
